Rare But Real: Walk for the cancer you haven't heard of. Yet.

Rare But Real Logo on Transparent background

Most cancer charities ask you to walk. We’re asking you to be seen.

Everyone’s heard of breast cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer. Let’s show up for the one you haven’t heard of. Yet.

Sarcoma affects 5,300 people in the UK each year, but remains in the shadows. With our first-ever Rare But Real walks, we’re not just raising funds – we’re demanding visibility for a cancer that’s often diagnosed too late because too few recognise its signs.

There are two main types of sarcoma; soft tissue sarcoma and bone sarcoma. Within these two types there are over 100 subtypes. Sarcoma can affect anyone of any age and is the third most common cancer in children – yet most people have never heard of it.

This isn’t just another charity walk. It’s hundreds of people becoming visible for those who aren’t seen. Join us in Reading or Manchester to support the 5,300 people diagnosed with sarcoma each year in the UK and make REAL changes that help REAL people.

‘When my brother was diagnosed with sarcoma, I was shocked by how few people in our circle had heard of it. Events like this aren’t just about raising funds – they’re about making the invisible visible. That’s why I’ll be walking alongside all of you this summer.’
