Sarcoma UK has unveiled a new website in response to the way people have been using the site over the last few years.
The new design across desktop and mobile gives visitors a simpler experience and easier access to the information that they need, faster.
Having gathered feedback on the previous site through surveys, user interviews and usage data, Sarcoma UK commissioned Awesomesauce Marketing to develop the new site to better reflect how people expect to use the site.
Awesomesauce completed in-depth research and analysis of the previous site, conducted a sector analysis, identified key users and mapped out their user journeys, before providing recommendations on site structure and hierarchy, SEO and landing pages, and designing and building the new site.
‘The charity was looking for a mobile-first website which focused on the needs of newly diagnosed patients and their families and provided them with knowledge and support’ says James Keith, Account & Strategy Director at Awesomesauce. ‘It was also important to highlight the charity’s fundraising efforts and research which aims to better understand sarcoma, improve treatments and make a difference to people’s lives.’
Digital Communications Manager, Enda Guinan, said that the new site ‘is a key step towards reaching and supporting more people affected by sarcoma who can benefit from our services as well as being a showcase for the crucial work that we do in funding research, influencing policy and serving healthcare professionals. I would like to thank the excellent team at Agile Collective who developed and supported the previous website and welcome James and Mark at Awesomesauce who have done a superb job making the site reflect the needs of our visitors today.’
The site went live in May but will continue to evolve over the coming months based on user feedback. We very much welcome your feedback at web@sarcoma.org.uk.
