Supporters of Sarcoma UK responded in style when we took part in the Big Give Challenge.
The Big Give Challenge is a national fundraising campaign that for one week – from Tuesday November 28 to Tuesday December 5 – doubled donations made to hundreds of participating charities.
This was our first time taking part in the challenge and our supporters did not disappoint as our £30,000 target was quickly surpassed. The final total raised was £35,383.
The money will go towards our Support Line, which provides such vital help to those affected by sarcoma.
The appeal was backed by Sarcoma UK Celebrity Ambassadors TommyInnit and Angela Barnes. Angela said: “Sarcoma UK isn’t a massive charity but the work they do is really important. For them, every little really helps.”
Sarcoma UK’s Chief Executive, Richard Davidson, said: “We were overwhelmed by the wonderful response to the Big Give Challenge from our supporters. Every penny they donated will help Sarcoma UK’s vital work in helping all those affected by this disease.”
Last year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge raised £28.6m for more than 1,000 charities.
