Every year, people across the sarcoma community give their time, energy and support to make a real difference.
The Sarcoma UK Shining Star Awards celebrate the remarkable individuals and groups who raise awareness, support people affected by sarcoma and help further the work of Sarcoma UK.
Do you know someone whose contribution deserves to be recognised? We are now inviting nominations for four awards:
- Gaz Emmerson Fundraiser of the Year, recognising an individual whose fundraising has made an exceptional contribution.
- Volunteer Achievement Award, celebrating someone who has generously given their time, skills or experience.
- Group Fundraising Champions of the Year, recognising a group or community that has come together to raise funds and awareness.
- Rob Myers Support Award, celebrating someone who has provided outstanding support to people affected by sarcoma.
Your nominee might have organised an ambitious fundraising challenge, worked tirelessly behind the scenes, brought a community together or been there for others when they needed support most.
Complete our short nomination form and tell us what they have done, the difference they have made and why you believe they deserve to be recognised.
Nominations close at midday on Monday 3 August 2026.
Following the nomination period, selected finalists will be invited to take part in the next stage of the awards. Some categories will be decided through a public vote, while others will be considered by our judging panel.
You do not need to write a polished award entry. We are looking for an honest account of what your nominee has done and the difference it has made. Please provide as much detail as you can.
If your nominee is shortlisted, we will contact them before publishing their name, photograph or nomination story.
