We’re proud to announce the launch of our new palliative care hub, aimed at providing comprehensive support and guidance to people affected by sarcoma, as well as their family and loved ones.
We hope that the new hub, available on our website, delivers the right information, resources, and emotional support to those navigating palliative care for sarcoma.
Designed with the specific needs of sarcoma patients in mind, the hub features sections that cover a range of topics, including what palliative care is, who it’s for and how to access it.
One of the core focuses of the hub is on symptom management, providing people with sarcoma with information on techniques, treatments, and approaches to alleviate any discomfort that can be experienced.
We also recognise the significant emotional impact sarcoma can have on individuals and their loved ones. The hub includes a dedicated section on coping emotionally, offering practical advice, self-care strategies, and recommendations on seeking external support.
We’ve also included information on the importance on advance care planning, which we hope will empower individuals to make informed decisions about their future care. This section aims to ensure that patients’ wishes are respected and honoured while providing them with the necessary tools to navigate their treatment confidently.
The hub also provides resources and sources of support, including recommendations from people affected by sarcoma and their loved ones.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to the people who were involved in co-creating and improving the new resources. We hope that people receiving palliative care for sarcoma and their loved ones find the webpages both useful and a source of support.
