People often tell us that they would like to ‘give something back’. Many supporters make regular donations, others take on challenges and some help to spread awareness of sarcoma and Sarcoma UK. We’re grateful for all this crucial support, and now we have ways for you to play a bigger part in what we do.
We’d like to ask you help shape our work.
Shaping our work involves our supporters working in partnership with us in determining the focus of our work. This helps to equip us as an organisation with true insight into the lived experience of sarcoma.

With this aim in mind, Sarcoma UK recruited Lorna Kennedy as Patient Involvement Co-ordinator to ensure the voice of the sarcoma community is represented throughout the organisation’s work. This pledge is central to our 2021 – 2026 strategy.
Lorna has been busy gathering information from the existing patient involvement network about their experiences with sarcoma and how, together, we can share people’s stories, their skills, preferences, and experiences to raise awareness of sarcoma and help support others.
There are many ways to shape our work. Have a look at our Shape Our Work page, send us your details and we’ll take it from there.
Together we can make meaningful change happen faster.
I jumped right in! Being a lay reviewer was a fantastic opportunity to have a say for not only ourselves but for all patients and families who are affected by sarcoma. Your feedback truly matters not only to them, but to the folks applying for grants.
