Sarcoma specialist centres

On this page, we have listed details of sarcoma specialist centres (SSCs) and sarcoma units across the UK. This page is about where you will be treated based on where you live and what type of sarcoma you have. We also have information about where children and young people are treated.

If your doctor thinks you have soft tissue or bone sarcoma, you should be referred for diagnosis and treatment at a sarcoma specialist centre (SSC).  You may also be seen for diagnosis and treatment under the direction of an SSC at a different hospital, or at a sarcoma specialist unit.

There are 5 bone sarcoma specialist centres across the UK, and 17 soft tissue specialist centres. Each specialist centre has a team of sarcoma specialist doctors that form your healthcare team. They are called your multidisciplinary team (MDT).

For a more detailed breakdown of the specialist centres in the UK, and which hospitals will treat you, download our Sarcoma Specialist Centres and Care Pathways map.
