Amelie Callanan

Amelie, with help from mum Emma, has shared her sarcoma story for years. This year, Amelie helped film a video for the Glitter Ball event, which was shared across social media. She also inspired the Duke of Kent School to choose Sarcoma UK as their charity of the year. Amelie continues to inspire others to not let anything hold them back.

Maddie Cowey

Maddie, a long-term supporter since her Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma diagnosis, runs a candid Instagram account and blog. She empowers other cancer patients by sharing her day-to-day reality, connecting with and supporting fellow sarcoma patients. Maddie consistently champions Sarcoma UK’s work online and in person, and was a key face of Sarcoma Awareness Month 2023.

Mia Shore

At just 11 years old, Mia ran every day of January 2024 to raise money for Sarcoma UK, raising an impressive £12,436 in memory of Lolly Gilmour. Despite harsh weather, she never missed a run, covering over two marathons in total. Mia handled interviews with local BBC and ITV news with maturity, demonstrating remarkable dedication to the cause.

Jake Spencer

Jake’s sarcoma journey highlights the challenges of obtaining an accurate diagnosis. Initially misdiagnosed with sciatica in 2016, he endured two years of increasing pain before receiving a correct synovial sarcoma diagnosis in 2018. After treatment and a recurrence in 2020, Jake is now cancer-free. He shared his experience during Sarcoma Awareness Month, emphasising the importance of health advocacy and sarcoma awareness.
