Winner: Manon Lien-Lambert
Manon has given up her time to help every single area of the organisation. She has made a difference to the fundraising team by spending hours training and fundraising for the London Marathon, as well as helping with the Never Forgotten Walk, lay reviewing applications, participating in research focus groups and sharing her experiences with sarcoma researchers.
Charlotte Beckerleg
Over the past few years, Charlotte has been a fantastic supporter and volunteer for Sarcoma UK. She has helped the charity through volunteering to attend events and help raise awareness within Cornwall and the South-West. She has also been a great support for the Patient Involvement Network, lending her voice to our Research Grant Lay Review team.
Alasdair Punton
Alasdair is a very committed member of the sarcoma community who is always volunteering to help at various events. He has collected cheques on our behalf, volunteered his time by organising many fundraising events as part of the Becky Punton Fund in memory of his late wife, and he is also a valuable member of the Grant Review Panel. Alasdair is always willing to give up his time whenever we need an extra pair of hands near Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
Richard von Abendorff
Richard has done extraordinary work to raise awareness of how the palliative care pathway can be improved, not just for sarcoma patients but for all patients needing palliative care across the country. He has been able to articulate and galvanise a group of people to hear the story of his brother-in-law Dermot, who died from sarcoma, and push us to work together to make a difference for others.
