Leave a lasting legacy

Making a will helps you decide what should happen to your money, property and possessions after your death.

Sarcoma UK has partnered with two will-writing services so that you can make or update a simple will for free. You can meet a solicitor in your area or use an online and remote service from home.

There is no obligation to include a gift to Sarcoma UK when using either service. If you choose to do so, your gift could help fund research and provide information and support for people affected by sarcoma.

Which service should I choose?

The National Free Wills Network may suit you if you would prefer to meet a local solicitor and receive advice in person.

Octopus Legacy may suit you if you would prefer to complete the process online or speak to someone remotely.

Both services can help you make a legally valid will. If your estate or circumstances are complex, the provider will explain whether you need additional advice and whether any charges apply.

Before you begin

It may help to think about:

  • The people and causes you would like to remember
  • The money, property and possessions that make up your estate
  • Who you would like to appoint as your executors
  • Who should care for any children under 18
  • Whether you would like to leave any particular gifts
  • Where your signed will should be stored

Your will-writing provider will guide you through the decisions relevant to your circumstances.

Leaving a gift to Sarcoma UK

The people closest to you will naturally come first when you make your will. Once you have provided for them, you may wish to leave a gift to Sarcoma UK.

Gifts in wills can help us fund research, provide trusted information and support, campaign for better treatment and care, and raise awareness of sarcoma.

There is no obligation to leave a gift to Sarcoma UK when using either free service.
