My passion for building communities through volunteering has shaped my career over the last decade, taking me from my home in Portugal to initiatives across the world. Now based in the UK, I focus on recruiting,
training, and leading diverse teams of volunteers. I’m dedicated to creating inclusive programmes where people feel empowered to drive meaningful social change.
My journey to the UK initially began with a plan to become cabin crew, but my deep-seated passion for the charity sector quickly drew me back. This unique path taught me a great deal about resilience and adapting to change—qualities I now bring to my work every day as I support our volunteers and build strong community partnerships.
On a lighter note, you might find me humming at my desk. My internal soundtrack is quite eclectic, switching from Adele to Artic Monkeys depending on the day. And a friendly warning: at the end of a very long day, I have been known to accidentally switch from English to my native Portuguese!
