Julia was diagnosed with high grade Uterine Leiomyosarcoma in June 2016.  Since then she has undergone more than 25 surgeries, therapies and interventions. She is particularly interested in how localised treatments can improve and extend the lives of people with metastatic sarcoma, and is an advocate for patient engagement.  She is keen to use her experience to improve outcomes for other sarcoma patients.

Julia is an experienced chartered accountant and charity trustee.
