Dr English is Lecturer in Medical Education at the Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia and Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Oncology and Metabolism at the University of Sheffield.
His research focuses on soft tissue sarcomas and their tumour microenvironment – all the different cells that surround and support tumour cells – and how it is linked to metastasis and response and resistance to therapy. Dr English obtained his undergraduate degree from Kingston University before moving to the University of Kent for his PhD in Biochemistry.
He held various research posts with the British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK and NIHR before starting his current roles.
