Dr Rebecca Gladdy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at The University of Toronto and a Principal Investigator at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute. She is a clinical expert in the surgical management of soft tissue sarcomas at Mount Sinai and Princess Margaret Hospitals and is a member of the Toronto Sarcoma Program.
Her research laboratory is focused on functional genomics and development of novel agents for sarcoma, in particular leiomyosarcoma and rhabdomyosarcoma. Dr. Gladdy is the co-Chair of the Sarcoma Site Group for the Canadian Clinical Trials Group and Chair of the Translational Science Committee for the TransAtlanticAustralisan Retroperitoneal Sarcoma Working Group (TARPSWG). She holds several team science grants in sarcoma research from CIHR, NIH, C17 and other peer-reviewed agencies.
Dr. Gladdy is a Full Member of the Institute of Medical Science and Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto. She has also been the recipient of several mentorship and teaching awards in the Complex Surgical Oncology Fellowship Program at the University of Toronto.
