Skilled and Corporate Volunteering

Donate your expertise

Sometimes the most valuable thing you can give isn’t your time, but your talent. We are always looking for professionals and corporate teams who want to use their 9-to-5 skills for good. Whether you are offering strategic pro-bono advice on a specific project or joining us for a corporate team day, your expertise directly helps our charity grow, become more efficient, and reach more patients.

Roles coming soon

The Visual Voice

Location: Remote/ Home-based

Commitment: Flexible/Project-based

Dates: Year-round/As requested

About you

You love using Adobe Creative Suit or Canva Pro. You understand typography, spacing, and brand guidelines. You’re versatile too; you can switch modes easily from laying out a serious medical guide to designing a bright, eye-catching flyer for a fundraising ball. You aren’t a copywriter (don’t worry, we provide the text!), but you are a visual problem solver.

Ready to make our mission look as professional (and exciting) as it feels?

Why it matters

Design does two vital jobs for us. First, it builds trust; if our information leaflets look messy, people might not trust the advice inside them. Second, it builds excitement; if an event flyer looks boring, people won’t buy tickets. Your skills ensure that our information is accessible and that our fundraising events look unmissable.

What’s involved

  • Promoting: Designing punchy flyers, posters, and invitations for our events (from comedy nights to cheer stations) to drive attendance.
  • Formatting: Taking a text document and turning it into a branded, easy to read information guide or impact.
  • Creating: Designing simple assets for social media campaigns.
  • Following: Using our branded guidelines to ensure everything, whether it’s a party poster or a medical chart, looks undeniably Sarcoma UK.

What to expect from us

  • Portfolio: Permission to use the work you create in your professional portfolio.
  • Content: We provide the final copy; you just need to make it look good.
  • Assets: Access to our logos, fonts, and image library.

The Visual Chronicler

Location: Various (e.g., London Marathon, Great North Run, etc)

Commitment: Ad-hoc/One-off (approx. 3-4 hours)

Dates: Coming soon

About you

You are a professional or semi-pro photographer with your own kit and a great eye. You know how to capture a candid moment without being intrusive. You understand that the best charity photos aren’t stiff handshakes; they are the hugs, the tears of joy, and the grit of a marathon runner.

Do you want to donate your talent?

Why it matters

Stock photos feel fake. To inspire donors and support patients, we need to show the real Sarcoma UK community. Your images will be used in our impact reports, on our website, and in national campaigns. You provide visual proof of the amazing work our community does.

What’s involved

  • Shooting: Attending a fundraising event, support day, or research lab to capture high-quality images.
  • Editing: Selecting and editing the best shots (we value quality over quantity).
  • Sharing: Transferring the high-res files to our digital team.
  • Briefing: Following a simple “shot list” to ensure we get the key moments we need.

What to expect from us

  • Credit: We will credit your work wherever possible (great for your portfolio).
  • Access: Press passes or backstage access to our events.
  • Briefs: Clear events, so you know exactly what we are looking for.

Why choose this category?

The Vibe: Professional, strategic, and highly impactful.

The Perks: Use your existing talents in a meaningful new context, build a diverse portfolio, and we’ll reimburse your reasonable travel expenses if agreed previously with the volunteer team.
