If you love soaking up a great atmosphere and meeting new people, this is the team for you. As an events and fundraising volunteer, you are the public face of Team Sarcoma UK. You will be out and about across the UK, creating unforgettable experiences for our supporters and helping us raise vital awareness and funds.

Location: Cheering stations (e.g., London Marathon, Great North Run, etc)

You understand that a high-five or a shout of encouragement can turn a bad day into a great one. You don’t need to run a marathon to be part of the race – you just need to bring the vibes.

Why it matters
Marathons are mental battles. When our fundraisers hit “the wall” at mile 20, they are exhausted. Seeing a sea of Sarcoma UK t-shirts and hearing a wall of noise gives them the adrenaline spike they need to cross the finish line. You aren’t just watching; you are powering them home.
What’s involved
- Making Noise: Using our clappers, whistles, and your voice to create an atmosphere.
- Spotting: Looking out for Sarcoma UK vests and shouting the runners’ names.
- Waving: Keeping our flags and banners high, so the crowd sees us.
- Snapping: Taking casual photos or videos of our runners flying past (if you want to)
