About youÂ
Do you have energy to burn and a contagious smile? Youâre the type of person who loves crowds and isnât afraid to make noise. You understand that a high-five or a shout of encouragement can turn a bad day into a great one. You donât need to run a marathon to be part of the race â you just need to bring the vibes. Â
Think you have the energy to power them across the finish line?Â
Why it mattersÂ
Marathons are mental battles. When our fundraisers hit âthe wallâ at mile 20, they are exhausted. Seeing a sea of Sarcoma UK t-shirts and hearing a wall of noise gives them the adrenaline spike they need to cross the finish line. You arenât just watching; you are powering them home.Â
Whatâs involvedÂ
- Making Noise: Using our clappers, whistles, and your voice to create an atmosphere. Â
- Spotting:Â Looking out for Sarcoma UK vests and shouting the runnersâ names.Â
- Waving: Keeping our flags and banners high, so the crowd sees us.Â
- Snapping:Â Taking casual photos or videos of our runners flying past (if you want to)Â
What to expect from usÂ
- Gear: A free Sarcoma UK t-shirt and noise-making materials.Â
- Refreshments:Â Snacks and drinks provided at the cheering station to keep your energy up.Â
- Flexibility:Â No long-term commitment â just sign up for the events that suit you.Â
