This is why we have focused our efforts on raising public awareness of sarcoma and the critical need to spot these rare cancers early. The King’s message resonates profoundly with our community – early detection truly does transform treatment journeys and gives patients the precious gift of hope.
‘However, people spotting the signs early must be matched by a health system that ensures the infrastructure is there to deliver early diagnosis. This is particularly crucial when it comes to rare cancers like sarcoma. Our Unique Among Cancers report revealed the troubling reality that one in three people wait six months or more to be diagnosed with sarcoma. These delays can have devastating consequences.
