Sarcomas are bone and soft tissue cancers. They can appear anywhere in the body and can affect a person of any age. Sarcoma UK is a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments.

About the survey
Why are you running this survey?
At Sarcoma UK we want to offer opportunities that appeal to everyone affected by bone and soft tissue cancer, and this includes teenagers and young adults. Our Fundraising Team have identified a need to engage with young people more and find out what we can do to better support you in your fundraising efforts.
We hope this survey will also widen our reach and help us find people interested in joining a Sarcoma UK Youth Fundraising Committee. This group will work with the Sarcoma UK team to plan a special fundraising event, designed by young people for young people.
How will my answers be recorded?
Answers to the survey will be stored securely and only accessed by Sarcoma UK staff.
Is my response to the survey counted as an application for the Sarcoma UK Youth Committee?
No, at this time we are only looking for survey responses to build a picture of what 16 to 24 year olds think about fundraising and what kind of events you want to see our charity offer.
Whilst there is a question at the end of the survey about whether you would be interested in joining the committee, this is purely to help us judge interest. We will advertise Youth Fundraising Committee applications at a later date.
Could my answers affect my likelihood of being accepted for the Sarcoma UK Youth Fundraising Committee, if I decide to apply?
We are hopeful that this survey will be the starting point for the Sarcoma UK Youth Fundraising Committee. However, the answers you give to this survey will not influence any decision making, as the committee application will be entirely separate.
I’ve not been impacted by sarcoma, can I still submit a response?
Yes absolutely! We want to hear from as many young people as possible. The focus of this survey is to learn about your fundraising and event preferences. We hope this will help us create something truly exciting in the fundraising events space.
