Bedding and bath products company Soak & Sleep has announced a charity partnership with Sarcoma UK.
The company was founded by Charlie Hunt, the brother of Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt, who died in August aged 53 from sarcoma. This was three years after he was diagnosed with an ultra-rare form of sarcoma cancer called spindle cell sarcoma.
Charlie raised £140,000 for Sarcoma UK while fighting his own cancer. Soak & Sleep now want to continue his fundraising to support Sarcoma UK and have a goal to raise at least £300,000.
Soak & Sleep Chief Executive, Sarah Smith, said: “In memory of Charlie, we want to raise as much funding as possible to support Sarcoma UK to continue the essential, life-saving work they do.”
Sarcoma UK is one of the biggest funders of sarcoma research in the UK and is spearheading efforts to fund more research into ultra-rare sarcomas.
