Andrew Beggs, RAC

Andrew Beggs is a Reader in Cancer Genetics & Surgery in Birmingham and a Consultant Colorectal & General Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. 

His research focuses on rare tumours such as sarcoma using multi-omics profiling to identify new treatment options and drug targets. He also uses bioinformatics to search for novel therapeutic targets and stratification markers.

He is a member of the Human Cancer Models Initiative, and a member of the consortium that sequenced the reference human genome.
