Full title: Radiogenomics: Assessment of Polymorphisms for Predicting the Effects of Radiotherapy (RAPPER)
Study of DNA Mutations in Predicting the Effect of External-Beam Radiation Therapy in Patients With Early Breast Cancer, Localized Prostate Cancer, or Gynecological Cancer
The aim of this study is to predict which cancer patients are most likely to develop radiation injuries as a result of their radiotherapy treatment. Once these individuals are able to be identified, treatment can be specifically tailored for them. The second aim is to investigate molecular pathways responsible for tissue damage caused by radiation.
