Sarcoma UK produces information for people affected by all types of sarcoma cancer.
Through our publications we aim to help people feel more aware of the range of treatment options and support that are available to them, so they can make informed decisions about their own care.
Our Patient Guides include Understanding Sarcoma: A New Patient's Guide, Understanding GIST and Understanding Gynecological Sarcomas.
How we ensure the quality of our information
Sarcoma UK uses the most accurate and up-to-date clinical evidence when producing new information and we review it every 2 years. We use reliable and trusted sources approved by Sarcoma UK’s Clinical Advisor, Professor Robert Grimer, who is recognised as the leading sarcoma orthopaedic surgeon in the UK. We also have a Professional Review Panel responsible for ensuring all scientific and medical information in any Sarcoma UK publication is accurate and reflects up-to-date clinical practice.
Sarcoma UK also has a Patient Review Panel responsible for ensuring that our information meets the needs of our users and that they are easy to understand. The patient review panel is made up of people who all have personal experiences of sarcoma, as a patient, carer or family member.
