Barry Thompson’s recent video update showed us the agony that can be involved in training for a major event such as the London Marathon. It’s a huge distance even for the fittest of us and only the foolhardy would take on a challenge like this without proper training.

Three years ago, Susan, Matthew Clarke’s wife, was diagnosed with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma (EMRS). ‘It is a great privilege for me to run a marathon in support of Sarcoma UK’, says Matthew. ‘I would like to do my part to raise money to help the research and support that this great organisation provides, as well as to raise general awareness of sarcoma.’
