Tackling Sarcoma Together: Sarcoma UK’s Strategy 2021–2026
Friday, January 22, 2021

We’ve come a long way since 2011 when we officially became Sarcoma UK.

After a tough year, we can’t afford to be complacent. Tackling Sarcoma Together is our commitment to you to keep the last decade’s progress moving.  This ambitious strategy is our road map to tackling sarcoma together over the next five years. It explains the goals and priorities that will help ensure that all people affected by sarcoma will be diagnosed earlier, have better experiences and live longer with fewer long-term effects.

From the start, Sarcoma UK’s new organisational strategy has been built together with the sarcoma community: patients and their families, supporters, healthcare professionals, sarcoma researchers, Sarcoma UK staff and trustees.

Sitting alongside this is Finding Answers Through Research, our new research strategy which explains how we will build on our sarcoma research progress.

Sarcoma research has come a long way since we awarded our first project and now there is real momentum for change. Over the next five years, we will continue to push forward and translate scientific progress into making a difference to people’s lives.

We are committed to changing the outlook for people affected by sarcoma. In delivering this strategy we are truly advancing towards a time when everyone affected by sarcoma has the treatment, care and support they need.

Together we will tackle sarcoma.
