The speedy person who surprised us by reaching the 500km target already turns out to be... Susan Wheatcroft from Nottingham.
We tracked her down and it turns out that our zippy runner is the founder and organiser of Virtual Runner UK! She's not stopped at 500km though and now has another marathon under her belt having completed the Red Kite Trail in Wales just last week. We asked her why she runs so much.
'My honest response is that I enjoy running and like to practice what I preach. I've hit the target quickly as I've been marathon training and have got lots of mileage in due to that.'
Susan is also motivated by having targets or goals and medals to work towards.
'I also get a real buzz from fundraising - having raised over £500,000 for various causes.'
There's still time to sign up for Virtual Runner. It's open to anyone and you have the entire year to get in the 500km. But who knows, maybe you'll 'do a Susan' and get it all done within weeks!
