The Sali Hughes Swag Bag with Purpose for Sarcoma UK
Monday, June 11, 2018

‘Sold out’. When influential beauty writer and broadcaster Sali Hughes puts her name to something, prepare for it to get snapped up pretty speedily.

Working with contemporary fashion brand Scamp & Dude, Sali and four other influential names in the beauty industry have created a limited edition collection of swag bags to raise money for charities close to their hearts.

Sali’s bag is a vibrant affair; pale blush with bright red leopard and lightning bolt print.  ‘No one wore leopard and red like Carey’, says Sali about the inspiration for her limited edition swag bag for Sarcoma UK. Carey Lander, Sali’s friend, was a member of the band Camera Obscura and died in 2015 having launched a JustGiving campaign to raise awareness and funds for Sarcoma UK. Sali wanted a ‘bold, eye catching design to draw people’s attention to sarcoma, a woefully unrecognised and underfunded cause, which particularly affects children and young adults’.

The limited edition swag bag from Sali follows her collaboration with designer Lisa Macario, whose Lipstick Literature Liberalism shirt remains a constantly in-demand item with proceeds from each sale going to Sarcoma UK.

It's no surprise that the first batch of Sali’s vibrant bag sold out within hours of launch. However, if you move quickly, you too can get your hands on the bag that Caitlin Moran described as ‘GORGEOUS’.
