We’re enthralled with this intricate video by Japanese artist Chop Pop (Tomoe Ishida).
Chop Pop specialises in papercutting, and a few years ago began work on a stop-motion version of Camera Obscura’s ‘Let’s Get Out Of This Country’. The complex video is made of 196 pieces of A4 posterboard.
The posterboards will go on display at the Hillhead Library, Glasgow, on 2 December and are available to purchase on the day.
Chop Pop is generously donating all proceeds from the sale to Carey’s Campaign, in memory of Carey Lander, the keyboardist with Camera Obscura, who passed away from osteosarcoma in 2015.
