10 people every day are diagnosed with sarcoma in the UK, yet 56% of people don't know about sarcoma. Let's change that.
Let's amplify awareness this week.
July is International Sarcoma Awareness Month so Sarcoma UK and the sarcoma community are getting the word out with picnics, podcasts and a tour of specialist centres in the UK and NI.
- Supporters around the country are hosting events as part of the Big Picnic.
- The Sarcoma UK Support Line team are visiting a different sarcoma specialist centre each day.
- Stream or download a new 'Ask the Expert' podcast episode every day.
Sarcoma UK's mission is to amplify sarcoma awareness, inspire involvement, and fund ground-breaking research to transform the lives of everyone affected by sarcoma. Sarcoma Awareness Week is a chance for us to get the message out about sarcoma and increase survival rates by at least 10% by 2020. Early diagnosis saves lives.
We need to amplify sarcoma awareness and we need your help. Make noise online - like and share our podcasts, videos and information. Tag us in your posts. Like and share our film, 'What is sarcoma?' or tell 10 friends that sarcoma is cancer of the bone and soft tissue.
Let's make everyone #SarcomaAware this #SAW2017.
