Maybe it's your first half marathon or you fancy adding this route to your collection of runs; whatever your reason, you're ready, you're willing and you're taking a step in the right direction!
We know there will be an inspiration behind setting yourself this challenge; a family member, a friend, a colleague? Or maybe you want to fulfil a personal goal that in turn supports the sarcoma community. For every step you take on this 13.1 mile challenge, you will be transforming the landscape for everyone affected by sarcoma. Cross the iconic Tyne Bridge, whizz past the live bands on your way to Gateshead, and catch a glimpse of the sea in South Shields. You (and over 57,000 runners) will be taking on the largest half marathon in the world, with thousands of others cheering you on!
I'd like to run with Sarcoma UK in 2020
We have now closed our charity places for the Great North Run 2020, but you can still apply for a place in the general public ballot. The public ballot is open until Sunday 9 February and you should find out by Friday 14 February if you have been successful.
If you are unsuccessful in the public ballot for this event, we still have plenty of our challenges to get involved with.
I have my own place.
Join #TeamSarcoma for the Great North Run 2020 , you'll receive all the same support as our charity place runners, and can set your own fundraising target. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have your own place in the event - we'd love to have you on the team!
