Maybe it's your first half marathon or you fancy adding this route to your collection of runs; whatever your reason, you're ready, you're willing and you're taking a step in the right direction!
We know there will be an inspiration behind setting yourself this challenge; a family member, a friend, a colleague? Or maybe you want to fulfil a personal goal that in turn supports the sarcoma community. For every step you take on this 13.1 mile challenge, you will be transforming the landscape for everyone affected by sarcoma. Cross the iconic Tyne Bridge, whizz past the live bands on your way to Gateshead, and catch a glimpse of the sea in South Shields. You (and over 57,000 runners) will be taking on the largest half marathon in the world, with thousands of others cheering you on!
I'd like to run with Sarcoma UK in 2019
I have my own place.
Join #TeamSarcoma for the Great North Run on Sunday 8 September 2019. Just email us at email@example.com if you have your own place in the event - we'd love to have you on the team! You'll receive all the same support as our charity place runners, and can set your own fundraising target.
Getting a Sarcoma UK place
Applications for our charity places are now closed. If you've applied for a place on the team already, we'll be in touch with you before 15 February.
What else can I do?
You don't have to run to be part of #TeamSarcoma. Join us at the cheering stations as a volunteer! Our fundraising team would love to hear from you: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you'd like to take part in another challenge for our charity, you can find lots of races local to you on Runner's World.
